Your Questions, Answered

  • Great question. Short answer: they’re cousins, not twins.

Korean sweet potatoes (often called goguma) have:

    • A lighter, more golden interior

    • A slightly firmer, denser texture when dehydrated

    • A naturally mild sweetness (less sugary, more cozy)

    • A more uniform shape, which makes them great for consistent chews

Regular sweet potatoes tend to be:

    • Deeper orange

    • A bit softer once dried

    • Slightly sweeter in flavor

Nutritionally, they’re very similar. Both are full of fiber, vitamins, and good-for-your-dog goodness.

We love using both because they offer different textures and chewing experiences for dogs. Same simple ingredient. Same clean process. Just a slightly different vibe.

  • Only the good stuff.

Our signature chews are made from real sweet potatoes (and soon, Korean sweet potatoes), slowly dehydrated to bring out natural flavor and nutrients.

    No fillers.
    No artificial preservatives.
    No mystery ingredients.

Just clean, simple treats your dog will lose their mind over.

  • Our treats are made to be gentle, natural, and dog-friendly for most pups, from tiny snackers to serious chewers.

Every dog is unique though, so if your pup has allergies, sensitivities, or health conditions, we recommend checking with your vet and introducing new treats slowly.

And as always, supervise your dog while they enjoy their chew. Safety first. Tail wags second.

  • Right here in Chicago, in small batches.

We keep things intentionally small so we can obsess (in a healthy way) over quality, consistency, and freshness. It’s slower. It’s more personal. And we think it shows.

  • Treat them like something special.

Store in a cool, dry place and keep the bag sealed between snack attacks. No refrigeration needed, just a little love and good storage habits.

  • How long do the treats stay fresh?

Up to 1 year when stored properly.

Each bag includes a “best by” date so you always know what you’re working with. Not that most dogs give them enough time to get anywhere near that long.

  • Because our treats are food products, we can’t accept returns once they’ve been opened.

But if something’s off with your order, reach out. We’re real people, not a robot warehouse, and we care deeply about making things right.

  • How many treats can I give my dog per day?
Our treats are meant for happy moments, not full meals.

    As a general guide:
    • Small dogs: 1–3 treats per day
    • Medium dogs: 2–5 treats per day
    • Large dogs: 3–7 treats per day

Always adjust based on your dog’s size, activity level, and regular diet.

Are these treats good for training?
Absolutely. They work great for training, enrichment, puzzle toys, or just being ridiculously cute.

You can also break larger pieces into smaller bites for longer training sessions.

    Are these a meal replacement?
Nope. These are intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only. Think “bonus joy,” not dinner.

At Rainey Dog Ranch, we believe your dog’s treats should arrive quickly, safely, and in beautiful condition. Here’s everything you need to know about how shipping works.

    Order Processing

All orders are processed within 2–3 business days.

Because our treats are made in small batches, processing times may vary slightly during high-volume launches or holidays, but we promise we’re moving as fast as paws will allow.

Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or major holidays.

    Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.

Estimated delivery times will be provided once your order ships. Most orders arrive within 3–7 business days after processing, depending on destination.

    Tracking Your Order

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can follow your pup’s treats all the way to your door.

If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder just in case it got a little too excited.

    Shipping Locations

At this time, we ship within the continental United States.

We hope to expand in the future, but for now we’re keeping things cozy and local.

    Delayed or Lost Packages

Once your package leaves our hands and is with the carrier, delivery timelines are out of our control.

That said, if your order is significantly delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, please reach out to us. We’re real humans and we care deeply about making things right.

    Incorrect Addresses

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout.

If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we may require additional shipping fees to resend it.
